Definition
- Foreign body aspiration can be a life-threatening emergency.
- An aspirated object (either solid or semisolid) may lodge in the larynx or trachea.
- Age: Can occur at any age but peak 6 months to 2 years
- Most common of lodging: Right bronchus

Most dangerous foreign body: Circular button batteries
Clinical Features
- Most common symptom: Cough
- Most common sign: Unilateral wheeze
Complications
- Most common of neglected foreign body: Recurrent pneumonia

- Right bronchoscopy (Investigation of choice)
Treatment
- Right bronchoscopic removal
